Internships
The Becket Fund offers unpaid summer and school-year internship opportunities for law students interested in our litigation work.
We also offer internships for undergraduates and graduate students in our international, communications, and development departments.
If you are interested in an internship or an externship at the Becket Fund, please send an e-mail to Diana Verm, dverm@becketfund.org, and attach the following information:
- A cover letter
- A resume
- Writing sample
- Transcript (not required for 1Ls, unofficial is sufficient)
- Names and contact information for 3 references

Communications Internship Opportunity
Want to build your communications portfolio? Want to experience the forefront of non-profit messaging? Want to work in a cause you can believe in? The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty is accepting applications for a twelve-week internship in the Communications department for the summer of 2012 (dates are flexible). The communications intern program immerses participants in the day-to-day life of a non-profit and exposes them to all aspects of communications, including social, digital, and high-level print media, along with helping develop messaging and strategy.
Communications Intern projects may include but are not limited to:
- Helping create, build and develop digital media projects
- Building and growing the Becket Fund’s social media presence
- Building media contacts
- Creating/updating media lists
- Preparing news releases and press kits; assist in correspondence
- Managing and editing online website and update on a regular basis
- Assisting in production of promotional videos
- Special Projects Assistance
*Graphic design and journalism skills strongly preferred.*The internship is unpaid, but school credit can be earned, and a portfolio will be compiled following your 12 weeks.
