"Worship, Dark and Steamy, for Murderers and Rapists," NY Times

This story by Marek Fuchs discusses the practice of allowing Native American sweat lodges as a form of religious worship in prison.  Fuchs's story references the recent Cutter decision and includes this quote:

The federal prison system allows Indian sweat lodges in all of its facilities that are not high-rise buildings, said Michael Truman, a spokesman for the federal Bureau of Prisons.

But it is rare for a state to provide inmates with sweat lodges, said Anthony R. Picarello Jr., president and general counsel of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. New Jersey and New York are among those that do not.
