Kristina Arriaga de Bucholz is the Interim Executive Director of The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.
Prior to joining the Becket Fund in 1995, Kristina was an advisor to the U.S delegation to the United Nations Human Rights Commission for five years under three different ambassadors. She was also the Executive Director of the Valladares Foundation, an organization that helped Cuban political prisoners and defectors, where she coordinated the dramatic rescue of the family of a MIG pilot held hostage in Cuba. She served on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights from 2000-2004, when she returned to the Becket Fund as Director of Government Relations, and then Director of Communications. She was named to act as Executive Director of the Becket Fund in October 2009.
Kristina and her husband have three young children. While they were asleep, she completed her Master's degree from Georgetown University in 2007.
