Ashley Samelson graduated from Tufts University in May 2007 with cum laude and Pi Sigma Alpha honors, majors in political science and Spanish, and an honors thesis on constitutional property rights and eminent domain. Before coming to the Becket Fund, she worked as a legal advocate and Spanish translator for victims of domestic violence as a well as Central American immigrants seeking legal asylum.  Recently, Ashley traveled (legally) to Cuba working on a project she founded pertaining to bringing religious liberty and leadership to Cuba.

Ashley speaks fluent French and Spanish. She also enjoys maps, traveling, reading fiction, and writing op-eds.
