Ma. Montserrat “Montse” Alvarado joined the Becket Fund team in March 2009. She is in charge of our nascent social media program, video filming, international event planning and design work. She comes to us from Miami, Fl where she worked in outreach for several organizations and events including the Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida, Hands on Miami, Best Buddies, and Music Fest Miami. Montse is truly an artist at heart. She is a competitive salsa dancer, jazz singer, pianist, composer and filmmaker. In her spare time she practices Tae Kwon Do and continues to volunteer for several organizations.

Montserrat is candidate for her Master’s degree at George Washington University’s School of Political Management concentrating in Advocacy Politics.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida International University.
