Meir Katz joined The Becket Fund in 2009 after graduating magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center. At Georgetown, Meir was admitted to the Order of the Coif, edited the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, was a Keller Scholar, served on the Law Center’s Teaching Committee, and was honored with the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law. While in law school, Meir worked for the Tax Division of the Department of Justice, Venable LLP, and volunteered extensively for Agudath Israel of America. He earned two degrees (M.A. and B.A.) in Talmudic Law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College, and also studied at the University of Michigan and Yeshiva University in Jerusalem. Meir is a native of South Florida.

Meir has authored numerous scholarly articles on subjects ranging from the law of armed combat to biological evolution and is currently developing an article on the infamous “Blaine Amendments.” He has published a law review article titled Bioterrorism and Public Law: The Ethics of Scarce Medical Resource Allocation in Mass Casualty Situations (21 Geo. J. Legal Ethics 795).
